R and D Lab Analyst

Lab Support are currently looking to recruit a R&D Lab Analyst for a well known pharmaceutical company in the East Midlands. The role will involve testing of pharmaceutical inhalation dosage forms in early stages of development to carry out investigational projects. A lot of the day to day responsibilities consist of sample preparation - some of the techniques are specific to inhalation products, and hence quite niche, but an appreciation and experience with volumetric techniques is useful. There is also a lot of setting up instrumentation and performing analysis using predominantly HPLC. The role is a 6 month rolling contract working 37.5 hours per week, with core hours of 10-3 and a flexitime system; and commands a pay rate of between £10 and £12.50 per hour dependent upon experience.

Required Skills:

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience working with HPLC, ideally from a cGMP analytical testing laboratory. This role is a research and development role, not quality control, so a understanding and desire to undergo research projects is crucial. Good analytical aptitude is therefore essential, alongside strong communication skills and computer literacy. You will be self-driven to meet specific project deadlines, but also show the ability to successfully integrate into a team.
